At WWT, we believe the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them, so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close and let it do the talking. Wellbeing in the workplace relates to all aspects of the working lives of our staff and volunteers. At WWT we call these our “ponds of wellbeing”: emotional, financial, personal, physical, social, and at work wellbeing.
We are looking for a passionate volunteer to help shape and support our approach to health and wellbeing. The role will help us to progress with our “Health & Wellbeing Strategy and Action Plan”, which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of all our employees. You will bring your ideas and enthusiasm to help champion a wellbeing approach that recognises the positive impact that wetlands and nature have on our physical and mental health.
You will be guided and supported by the Head of People, the Volunteering Development Officer, and the Health and Wellbeing Working Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in workplace wellbeing while making a meaningful contribution to an international conservation charity.
Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team, and we wouldn’t be able to maintain our internationally important wetland sites without their help. You will receive a very warm welcome, full induction & training, and be provided with any necessary equipment, uniforms, and anything else needed to thrive in your role.
